RF23-Weekly Takes

I am a huge "Everybody Loves Raymond" fan, and still today, I watch re-run after re-run of the hit television show. For instance, the most showed episode is when older Brother Robert, finally marries Amy and during the ceremony, Marie, the mother, interrupts the ceremony leaving the nuptials in shock of the event. Little brother, Raymond, who was the best man, was to give a toast and wasn't prepared, until as he put it..

Material always shows up. And for my weekly essay, material did in fact in show up. Some material I was holding onto, because I couldn't formulate my thoughts to clearly express my opinion and as the week goes on, more material showed up and thus, my title.

What the world needs now....

Lets start....

World Cup: As most of you know, I am not a soccer fan, I couldn't care less about the world cup, who was in it or where it was being played, but again, material always shows up, in the form that our U.S. team was almost screwed in its opening game and screwed royally on its second. By virtue of the fact that before the games started, a South African official was reported to have said that he hopes the U.S. team doesn't make it out the preliminaries, kinda rose a red, white and blue flag for me and I started watching and rooting for our boys. I think I can handle soccer, I won't watch it fervously, but I'll have interest when the U.S. soccer team plays international games. So, if I got patriotic over our soccer team, what the hell was France's problem? And does anyone know, what the hell happened? All I know, is that one player got into an argument with the coach, the player is sent home and the team refused to practice. And oh by the way, they lost.

Stephen A. Smith: I love this brotha, I listen to his sports show on Foxsports Radio, I read his columns and I for one, get him. On Monday, Smith announced on his radio show, that Lebron James is going to sign with the Miami Heat. Smith said his source for almost 14 years, dropped this on him and according to Smith, this source is and always has been, a more than reliable source. So with that announcement, came either backlash or interviews for Smith to explain his source or his breaking story. One sports columnist, wrote a nasty piece on Smith's story, causing the radio host to respond and ask his fellow journalist to be civil. Again, like the Men's soccer team, I'm now in a pridicament in hoping and praying this brotha is right, so his haters would have to "shell up!"

Gen. McChrystal: Look, this guy was Obama's guy, this guy was supposed to find a way out, not win, but a humane exit for our troops out of afghanistan. He was picked by Obama, so why are we surprised to hear anyone, talk about this enept president. And now look, at what the president has to do, he had to go back and hire, President Bush's guy in Gen. Petreous to handle Afghanistan. Remember when Obama was questioning Petreous plan for a surge in Iraq. I wonder, if the first words uttered from Obama's mouth, was I'm sorry or you were right. I doubt it.

Racism in Sports Talk Radio: About two weeks ago, I was listening to a local sports station, when the topic of two San Diego Chargers refused to sign their $3.2 million tender. One of the host, Scott Kaplan was trying to make a point that one of the players, Vincent Jackson, a wide receiver, should sign the tender, because of his off the field problems. But this is not the issue, when Kaplan is talking about black players and gets into his sketches, his use of supposed to be black dialect is outright insulting. After this blog entry, I intend on lobbing a letter to the station and probably carbon copy the NAACP.

Robert Byrd: For some strange reason, I bet if he were a republican, the media would remind us to no end that Byrd was/is a KKK member. That's right, he was a domestic terrorist. I'm sorry, I don't mean to speak ill of the dead, but being part of a group that committed the waves of terror these cowards behinds masks did, is simply unforgivable.

RF23 - Who's Going To Kick Your "A"

Who’s Gonna Kick Your “A” Obama?

After being nudged to “go off” the president finally found some gumption and like a little kid, who’s being bullied, found a far corner and starting talking junk. “The reason, why I put these great minds together is that we find answers and that way, I’ll know whose “A” to kick..”

What?

Mr. President, how was it?

Yours should have been the first to be kicked and one more thing, you’ve been in office for almost two years, when exactly are things your fault? I’ve heard you say, “The buck stops here,” which is a lie, because based on your spending the buck goes everywhere, but to places it’s needed. So when do you take responsibility that you totally ignored the American people by stuffing your healthcare bill down our throats, and before you were looking for some “A” to kick, you picked against the family, and showed the other side, what you’re thinking in regard to illegal aliens.

What’s wrong with you?

And you know, your “a” should get kicked when you got slobberin’ Chris Matthews and Keith “that dude that was on ESPN” Olberman talking about you like you were Santa Claus, and forgot to drop toys at their house.

Mr. President, there seems to be this attitude from you that exudes “entitlement.” Like you woke up one morning and found yourself president, without campaigning. And you’re not by yourself, a few left wing democrats and RINOs think that way, as well. And for that type of attitude, you know someone should beat the “sh” out of you.

RF23-The Day the Prez Went Off

It's been awhile since I wrote a parody, so in light of the president's going to kick somebody's ass...I feel it's right to point out the day he actually went the ef off! enjoy.

Journalist: This is Cleotis Jackson from ABN, Always Black Network, and I'm in the white house, waiting to be escorted to the oval office to interview President Barack Obama. As you know the President just got back from Louisiana and he is now assessing his next move, while the oil continues to leak in the Gulf of Mexico. Oh! wait here comes the secret service..

SS: The president will see you now..

CJ: Okay, here we go..(Pause a few minutes) okay, we are in the Oval Office with the President and sir, thank you for allowing the viewers of ABN into the white house, I imagine your trip to Lousiana was an eye opener..

BO: Yes, it was and I thank the people of Louisiana for being outspoken and rightfully angry about the leak and the lack of leadership provided by BP and the prior administration.

CJ: What did you see?

BO: I saw Bo Bo, a street vendor selling Obama t-shirts and pins, I went to a local barbershop and Cleon mentioned that his clients haven't returned since Hurricane Katrina, I stopped by to see Ray Nagin and to congratulate him on his fast reaction to helping the people of New Orleans in Hurricane Katrina.

CJ: Well that's good, there are reports in the media that you were slow in getting to Louisiana and not showing enough emotion.

BO: Look, I was put in here, because I was cooler than the other side of the pillow, shoot! if the George "Iceman" Gervin wasn't born before me, I'll have his name..Barack "Ice man" Obama, how dat sound..

CJ: That's nice and you can play basketball too...Mr. President, I saw that game of horse you played against Clark Kellogg during March Madness..

BO: You saw that?

CJ: Yeah..

(President's aide comes in and President excuses himself)

BO: I'm sorry, I'm just told that those terrorist attacked a floatilla..

CJ: What, that's breaking news, was it Taliban, al qaeda?

BO: No, Israel, they boarded a boat of people who had weapons and apparently killed some of them..

CJ: The bastards, I think Helen Thomas was right, they should go back to where they come from, and Rosie O'Donnell recently added to that and said Germany is safe, since the ovens are gone...

BO: Oh that Rosie, she cracks me up, hey can I get you something or better yet, have my servant, George, I always wanted a servant named George and a maid named Laura..George, get Mr. Jackson, what?

CJ: I'll take an ice tea, with lemon..

BO: me too. Do I smell cigarette smoke on you...a newport man, huh?

CJ: Sorry Mr. President, I know you're trying to stop..

BO: Oh that's okay, I just like the smell of a cigarette, it's hard to stop, but between me and you, I go out in the back and get a puff or two, this job is so demanding, and look, I get congress to pass a healthcare bill and -

CJ: but the american people didn't want it..

BO: it's those tea baggers and if you interrupt me one more time, I'll -

CJ: but Mr. President, with all due respect, over sixty percent of the american people were against this bill and now over eighty percent of the american public is afraid you are going to ram an amnesty bill down their throats..

BO: Are you done, who you with again?

CJ: ABN, Always Black Network..

BO: Always black? then why questioning me like I'm on FOX News? Black folk don't care what I do, as long as I stay black I'm good..

CJ: Really? well, I'm black and I'm kinda upset that you're not upset that we got a big oil leak that is spreading and in that time, you managed to slam Arizona for enforcing a federal law! entertain the Mexican president, whose own country, has tougher illegal immigration laws that the United States, had two concerts, went on two vacations and by the way, what is up with all golf!? and with all that you brag about your nickname should have been "Ice Man." You saw "Hard Knocks" last year? Child puhleze! Ocho Cinco's definition...what do you have to say about that..

BO: Well, it's not true and your trying to get me riled up and act a fool, but I'm not, I disagee and I'm going to end this interview. What George..

George: We're out of tea bags..

BO: what do you mean, I heard we had millions of tea bags!

George: Sir, that tea partiers, not bags..

BO: what?! what the hell is the difference!? So are you telling me, if I wanted some kool aid, it would have been some damn group! ef that! get me some damn tea, or I'm going to kick your ass! and where's my aide!? Get me some people in here to answer why the gulf of mexico is all effed up! this is some bull bleep and someone fire that one secret service man, who keeps stepping on my damn shoes! How is it, I have both houses and can't get shht!! done and oh! get Reid's ass in here, I got some negro dialect for his ass!!

CJ (with president going off in the background) there you have it, I knew if I got his goad, I could get a reaction from him and there you have it, look at him, he's going off in here...ahem! so that's the way it is, and that's the way it was, I'm
Cleotis Jackson, reporting from the White House..Good night...

RF23-Oops, They Got Nothin'

The appeals court, may have just pitched strike three to the federal government in its pursuit to prove that Barry Bonds perjured himself in his BALCO testimony, when the slugger admitted to using the cream and the clear. The appeals court denied the federal government of using urine samples, believed to be Barry Bonds..

Now what?

The case should go away and we're left with speculation on Bonds, and the outright truth on Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemons, Andy Petitte and other protected ball players before either Jose Canseco and Victor Conte tore down. Mind you, Conte has repeatedly said that Bonds, did not inject steroids, nor did he witness it..furthermore, the same Conte provided names of athletes and baseball players who did use steroids or masking agents and it turned out true.

So..

Who do we believe? the sports media that feels the need to report useless sports information in regard to athletes lives or the people who was in the steroid game. Canseco has written, what? two books and each time has shaken protected or media favorites from the media "don't report" tree.

I doubt this story gets two minutes on the four letter network, because we're all supposed to giddy about a bunch of one named guys running up and down a field and kicking a ball for ninety minutes to score at least two points to ensure a win or the ever so excited nil to nil tie game...

Whatever.

RF-23-Staying Put

Over the memorial day weekend, the wife and I were in Indio, CA., honoring an invite from my high school buddy, his wife and another couple. This wasn’t our first meet with this couple and they pretty much know, the nickname, my friend calls me and why. For the record, the name they call me is Ruckus, a character on “The Boondocks” the cartoon.

Anyway, while watching game 6 of the Lakers/Suns game, a commercial came on showing Arizona R(INO)epublican John McCain and I booed. They were surprised I did that, knowing that I voted for McCain over Barack in November, 2008. And so, ensued the conversation about politics, which I am willing to discuss, but when someone says, that the country is corrupt and has been since its inception, I take issue and I don’t want to talk to people like that, especially those, who insert that the early settlers to the New World, were a bunch of crooks. Although partially true, the early settlers also consisted of people persecuted for their religious beliefs.

Look, you have to be blind to realize that politics is game, and only the best with the gift of gab will make good politicians and those who are good at lying will definitely make good ones. But it’s our country! the only one we got and she’s not perfect, but I’ll be damn if I sit there and listen to a middle class family bitch about the economy, when it hasn’t affected trips to Jamaica, cruises to the Bahamas and so forth.

But somehow, if I were to mention, that damn, one day, I would like to go and feel that they should give up their trip, the one they obviously worked and saved for, to me. I’m sure, I’ll here their real remarks and it wouldn’t sound like, “I just wanna spread the wealth-even the playing field” spewed by the president.

However, through the shortened conversation, because I abruptly stopped the conversation by refusing to hear anything else, that equals, the country is corrupt and no good and until their savings are ripped from them, that poor people shouldn’t be poor people because the government should take care of its poor people general welfare. I just don’t want to hear any of that nonsense….I think I come to the conclusion, that I just write my thoughts and blog about them…because it’s obvious, I’m not trying to convert liberals and non-informed blacks, they’ll eventually get the picture, when it becomes clear. Hell, I still have a quote fresh in my head from my obama votin’ friend…”If Obama wants to create jobs, he needs to deport all these illegals in this mofo.”

Get the picture.

RF23-Same Tub

My ears could not believe, what they was hearing. It couldn’t’ be, naw!! Someone tell me it’s a sick joke and they was just playing. Come on man, stop playing, this is a good man. A man, I respect, although we don’t agree on politics and social issues. I like this guy, I think he’s fresh, I respect his points of view and his convictions. I respect his contributions in the black community in regard to awareness and providing avenues for discussion.

but.

What my ears heard this morning, I can’t respect it, I can’t believe he said it and I was hoping that he was being taking out of context. But the following statement can’t be taken out of context:

“Christians commit terrorist acts everyday, when you look at the post office and what happened in Columbine, Christians commit more terrorists acts everyday! and I could talk on this all day.” Tavis Smiley

Damn, I still looking for a legitimate excuse to protect this guy…Maybe, he spent Memorial Day Weekend with Danny Glover. Hell, I can’t even blame Al “Big Perm” Sharpton, cause no matter how buffoonish, he is, Al will never say Christians are terrorists. And look at this, I’m giving Sharpton a compliment, damn Tavis!

I don’t know what happened to Tavis, maybe he was sleepy and his notes were jacked up, but deranged post office workers didn’t’ shoot up their place of work under the zeal of Christianity and last checked, the students at Columbine weren’t attacked because they were not Christians and the shooters wanted them to convert. Damn Tavis. Christians commit terrorist acts everyday?

What happened to you?

A few weeks ago, you were arguing with Al Sharpton over your claims that he and other so called black leaders said that Obama did not need a black agenda. Al called you a liar and you were waffling. Before that, you rightfully, chose to support Hillary Clinton as the democratic nominee and took a serious blacklash, that’s right I said it, blacklash, for your support.

And now, you’re attacking Christianity and placing them in the same bathtub as radical Islamic terrorists?

Come on, Tavis.
